The Times - paying commuters to ride their bikes to work

I received an email from "home" with links to this subject, in Portuguese.

This one is a little old but worth reading. And spreading around... Our wealthy mining companies could spend a few (more?!) dollars to help with their employees health and the environment. MTBs for the mining sites and Commuter models for the city workers.

The Times - paying commuters to ride their bikes to work

That isn't all the Times are pushing. Take a look at their latest Cycling story. The 8 point manifesto is great, but the part I like is their push for 100M Euro per year to be spent on cycling infrastructure, and the "Cycling Commissioner" in each city..

While it seems to be the tragic accident of one of their journalists that has prompted this push in the UK, it would be lovely to see Murdoch's Brisbane "Flagship" start moving in a similar direction.

These should be sent to our newspapers but more importantly every level of politics in Australia.

On top of which for a few years in the UK you could but a bike through salary sacrificing. Not sure if it is still running now but what a great way to increase cycling and get a healthier workforce!

Wayne...are you listening?
