Am I going to need my climbing wheels for this race or my fast deep section wheels will be fine for the climbs that are on this course?

Fast ones I would think. There are some hills on the first section but once you come back through town and out the other side the rest (and longer section) is flatish. If the road condition is anything like last year though, deep section wheels will not be comfortable.

Maybe use 1 of each to be sure.

Hehe. Mine are pretty comfortable for a deep section wheel so might just stick them on and put the others in just in case and get there early enough to do a bit of a look at the course. Thanks.

Not a bad idea if you have the resources. 404 (or equiv) on the back and 202 (or equiv) on the front.

That's pretty much what my fast wheels are. 60 on the rear and 40 on the front. May just stick teh others in for spares if they are having teh spares ute for this race.

Another question. On Google Streetview the roads look reasonably narrow in spots, especially just after the start. After the recent Pimpana incident, which happened for different reasons, what happens at Tyalgum when the bunches are passing each other given that they are being sent off at 10min intervals. Is there plenty of communication going on so teh bunches know when to stretch out a bit?
