This was back in October (maybe earlier), they must be on an hourly rate.

Consultants, engineers, surveyors, draftsmen, bean counters, etc. etc. it has to pass through all of these hands for this sort of work. Then it prioritised.

Although it seems like so long ago, we are still recovering water/sewerage treatment infrastructure that was damaged in the floods and will be for atleast another 6 months.

Yes, the ad was made by nice people being paid by your tax dollars. They were employed by a state goverment about to get its but kick'ed to Neptune! Either that or they are smoking some great weed! Regardless of the reason...........Don't beleive the Hype!

Hate to be dull, but this "road" is a local government responsibility not state - so hopefully it wasn't included in the stats in the ad.

I doubt anything is going to happen. Apparently they sent a few engineers up there to asess the damage. They haven't said anything since then so you can probably safely assume it's not economically viable to spend a *** load of money fixing it as they probably believe it only got used by nebo residents.

Yeah, knew that, the initial assessment was in the 9 figure range which is obviously unworkable for a road with its traffic volumes. Just wondering why they were looking at it again, although conversion to fire trail would make some sense.
